Sick Pet Visits at Best Friend Vet

Whether your pet has been scratching at their ears, has been stung by a bee, has eye discharge, is limping, has an upset stomach, or just isn’t acting right, we are here for you and your pet. Sick pets are treated with the same loving, thorough care as pets visiting our clinic for preventive care. At Best Friend Veterinary Clinic, our goal is to partner with you to help your best friend live a longer, healthier, happier life.

Common symptoms that may indicate a health problem with your pet include:

  • bad breath/drooling
  • change in acvitity level, lethargy
  • change in appetite or weight
  • change in attitude or responsiveness, or
  • interacting less often with family
  • change in sleeping patterns
  • change in urination (amount or frequency)
  • change in water consumption
  • confusion or disorientation
  • diarrhea and/or vomiting
  • lumps or bumps on or under the skin
  • coughing and/or sneezing
  • eye discharge or squinting
  • stiffness or trouble jumping, walking, or climbing stairs
  • itchy skin, “hot spots”, hair loss, greasy coat
  • head-shaking, scratching at ears, foul
  • odor in ears
  • just not acting like himself/herself
